So ... I'm taking a small break from rushing around getting ready for Steffie to get here .... Big vase of pink and these pretty yellow and dark pink variagated roses on the table surrounded in yummy smelling candles. More candles on the mantle and along the edge of the shelf along the other wall. Valentine present wrapped and waiting. Bed made with rose petals across the comforter. All the odds and ends packed away.

I got my hair cut today ... really cut... about six inches! I think it's really cute even though I was horribly worried as I saw so much fall to the floor. New, shorter hair curled in big, soft ringlets. Make-up done and nails painstakingly painted and repaired ( you know it never fails that I smudge at least one of them). Dressed all pretty. Now I'm waiting for Steffie's requested apple crisp to finish baking. I have french vanilla ice cream to go with it. I hope she likes it.

Off to check on the apple crisp.
