I may be offline for a while after tonight. I don't know yet. My power cable for my G4 finally shorted out. It's been on its way for a few months now. It sparked, it smoked, and now it doesn't work. $80 for a new power adapter from Apple ... think not. I don't have the money for that right now. I did find a couple online though, so I bid on one. We'll see if I win it. In the meantime, the battery is switfly draining with no way to recharge it. *ugh* Once it's down to zero, I'll have to wait until I get a power cable back.

I tried to hook up my desktop in its place until I can get a new cord, and that didn't work either. There isn't a phone jack in the room where I have my desktop set up, and the line isn't long enough to stretch from my bedroom into the office. Yay me! I tried everything and just could not find a way to make it work. I think I need about a 20 ft long phone cord to make it reach and get my dsl up and running on my laptop. We'll see if I can find one of those in the morning. It would be nice to actually get the jumble of phone and modem cables out of my living room floor eventually.
